Media Collections

Media Collections is an information bank website at Texas State University. Funded by a generous grant from The National Endowment for the Arts and Texas State University the site concentrates on NEA Jazz Master Dan Morgenstern, his career, research, and associates.
The nexus research regarding Dan collections now includes the new Loren Schoenberg Collection and the Eddie Durham Collection. Schoenberg is a lifelong friend and colleague of Dan Morgenstern, and Durham was born and raised in San Marcos, Texas.
The annual Eddie Durham Jazz Celebration has engaged Dan Morgenstern as guest keynote speaker for the last 12 years. Dan is beloved by the Texas State University and San Marcos communities.
